About Colleen

Colleen has always had a heart for children, which only strengthened through her time as a pediatric hospice nurse. While starting a donation-based program for her local school system, offering hygiene items for free, she found a love for giving back to the children living in poverty, similar to her younger self. Whether coaching cheerleading or collecting donations for different causes, Colleen has found many ways to give back. However, it wasn’t until her 30’s she decided to shake things up and start writing and illustrating her own hospice line in the hopes of helping so many more children in the future. In her newest novels, Karma One and Karma Two, Colleen works to bring light onto some very dark topics; from the entitlement and misuse of power by the elite, to the misfortune and despair of the nation's most vulnerable, children. Now a Reiki Master, Colleen enjoys assisting others in healing their mind, body, and spirit.

Colleen’s Novels Inc. Ltd. is extremely proud and excited to share our latest work Karma Two. The project might have been a lengthy one, but this was one story that really needed to be told.

Despite the optimism of his name, Arizona Sunshine Jacksyn, or AJ, was not born into a life of sunshine and roses, nor with a silver spoon in his mouth (this time). His mother, Ember Elizabeth, struggles to provide for her two sons while dealing with addiction and trauma. As a result, AJ is forced to fend for himself at a young age. He endures abuse in foster care and is later forced into prostitution. Despite these challenges, AJ is determined to succeed. With hard work and good fortune, the path for AJ looks bright as he attempts to be a light in the darkness.

In Karma Two, the conclusion to the story begun in Karma One, AJ is given the chance to right past wrongs and find the happiness that has eluded him in previous lifetimes. With the help of spiritual guides, AJ tries to break free from the cycle of greed and power that has haunted his family. Will he be able to overcome his past and create a brighter future?

Getting My First Book

This was the most exciting moment in my young writing career to date, for sure! It is all so real now that Karma One is finally in my hands and Karma Two is just around the corner. I am truly looking forward to the future and all it holds for myself and my family.

It is through imagination that she becomes an Angel in charge of rainbows, to a mermaid who dives deep into the depths of the ocean. Amy's Bedtime Stories is an uplifting adventurous children's book with a positive message of caring for our world and the creatures who live on it.
